Mountain Biking

With over 100 miles of singletrack that snakes across more than 200 square miles of rugged, open desert hills, Punta San Carlo’s (PSC) network of biking trails is unrivaled for the sweeping beauty and sheer isolation it offers. Banked speed runs, technical drop offs, hidden canyons, and smoking descents that deliver breathtaking ocean views are all part of every ride, and the only folks you’ll ever see on the trail will be the ones that left camp with you! Carefully developed over the last 20 years, the challenges of our trail system ranges from beginner to expert and offer something for riders of every skill level. The crown jewel is a run through the Badlands, a winding, intricate arroyo maze nicknamed “The Little Grand Canyon,” that has been featured in Bike Magazine spreads as well as in multiple mountain biking videos. It’s one of the reasons PSC routinely draws some of the top pros in mountain biking – Cam McCaul, Tyler McCaul, Matt Hunter, Chris VanDine, Geoff Gulevitch – as regular visitors. Whether your fix is an easy pedal along an empty coastline, a technical descent through off-camber twistys, or a white-knuckle run downhill, we’ve got the goods for you! detailed trail maps are available in camp.
